Combined Defense Discord Article? Video? Gif? Question? Well he did not,and my attack overwhelmed his brace and that was that I was the new owner of this LGV refit. We're dedicated to posting images of ships of war, from the lowliest gunboat to the most glorious battleships of yore, be they from antiquity, the Age of Sail, or the modern era. What will he do? what should I do? the timer was ticking down, I played it safe and went with a last second musket volley he went last second attack, my muskets did quite well his attack was costly, more costly however in prep he was down to 20, I did not hesitate I attacked right away on the next round and watched the timer ticking hoping he did not have defense drill perk. Now we were both bracing up round by round watching each others prep, we both reached sixty prep together my palm was sweating lol, we all know 60 is the magic number for a last second attack. We exchange attacks, muskets, etc for a few rounds as we were both prepped up, we both end up at low prep we had both won round or two each but my higher crew was paying off. Once the boarding screen goes up he must of been surprised to see I have more marines and muskets than he does, Well he soon ran me down and tags me into battle, When we spawn his first little surprise is my fleet ship is not another indiaman but a combat ship, this applies a bit of pressure for him to get the job done as quick as possible, we exchange broadsides my Live oak is holding up ok and my fleet ship is doing some decent damage, then he comes at me and I just know he is going to board, I have been prepped for boarding since the get go. To get my plan to work I need him to be confident so I pretend to turn and run when I see him, what else would an innocent trader do right? I set sail in my Indi and headed down the coast from KPR, I was almost in reach of SLM when I spotted sails on the horizon and it was a pirate. Now i just had to wait, before long combat news revealed he had struck near SLM. One on one, i know from experience an agile raider will rake you down before boarding so to apply pressure i took a fleet ship, a Leopard in this case. I fully board fitted an Indiaman even made it live oak crew space, to give it extra crew and thickness. Well I formulated a plan to trap him using an old trick i used back in the KPR gankfest days. I did notice though that the vast majority of his kills were boarding actions, this guy likes to board. Often when chased he simply ran to port and no one could touch him. ![]() Well it turns out he was using an LGV refit witch allowed him to dock at friendly ports, he would hunt the gap between SLM and Carlisle. I was curios to know how he could exact this reign of terror and remain unscathed from the HDF fleets and of course the angry locals. ![]() For about a week I had been watching messages in combat news that a certain pirate had been sinking British players in what should be fairly safe home waters. ![]()
